Ed Snelson has been guiding bass fisherman for 39 years on Lake Sam Rayburn, Tx. In 1996, he started guiding for catfish – TROTLINING – on Toledo Bend Lake.
When you take a trip with Ed, all of your fishing equipment is supplied. He will furnish the trotlines, a custom built boat for trotlining, and bait. Lodging is typically at Bill’s Landing on the northern end of Toledo Bend (Texas Side). Bill’s Landing is a quiet fishing camp where relaxing is easy to do – in between fishing of course.

Testimonial – By Mike Smith (Owner / Operator of Reel Texas Outdoors)
Pictures don’t do enough when describing a trip with Ed Snelson. My wife and I were lucky enough to get a trip with Ed from July 20-22, and we absolutely had a blast. We ended up catching about 413 lbs of catfish, and this was described as a “BAD” trip by Ed. I’ve head stories of well over 1000 lb of fish coming into Bill’s Landing on Ed’s boat, so I guess I do believe it was a “BAD” trip. However, to my wife and I it was excellent, as the average fisherman rarely sees 400 lbs of fish in a catch.

Hi Britt,
Thanks for the comment… you can look up Bill’s Landing on the NW side (Texas Side) of Toledo Bend and they should be able to get you set up. I know Charlie and Rhonda (the owners) sell fresh fish out of there all the time. Just google bills landing and give them a call.
Thanks again, man!
Mike
Great catches look’s as though your the KING when it comes to guiding for catfish. Would you know of anyone that sells Toledo bend catfish?
